It’s end of the week link roundup and I’ve decided to start shaking up the breakfast image I use with this feature:
- Mitch McConnell has called upon President Obama to “back off” his comments about the Supreme Court (which, let’s remember, were just stating that he believed that precedent is on his side). Apparently we’re all supposed to forget when McConnell used to hide amendments attached to highway bills for the sole purpose of undermining Supreme Court decisions he didn’t agree with.
- An interesting look at President Obama’s organizational advantage in the general election. Basically, he’s been opening offices across the country while Romney moves state to state opening and closing offices.
- Mother Jones has the secret Bush administration memo that detailed internal dissent over the legality of torture.
- Rep. Steve King of Iowa has a brilliant solution to discrimination against homosexuals — if they stayed in the closet there wouldn’t be any discrimination! Ugh.
