Hump day links:
- Senator Richard Lugar, a man with a lifetime 77/100 rating by the American Conservative Union, was ousted in his party primary by the Tea Party.
- Meanwhile North Carolina proceeded to ban gay marriage, which was obviously a tremendous threat to America requiring immediate attention.
- The National Review bends itself into pretzel knots trying to explain that Europe’s failing austerity measures are simply the result of tax increases. Note that the article claims that these mild tax increases caused Europe’s renewed recession, despite amounting to a pittance compared to the spending cuts enacted. It’s like pointing out a hang nail on a guy with four gunshot wounds.
- While everyone wonders if he’s a moral lightweight shifting in the wind, how does a Romney campaign official get away with a sentence like this: Romney is “still deciding what his position on immigration is.”
