Tuesday link time:
- Have some fun learning about the people who give far, far, far, far more money to campaigns than you do. Yesterday I saw a conservative talking head object to the idea that this is “buying an election” because the people still get “one person, one vote.” This is true, but businesspeople tend not to be “stupid” and only spend money when the see a potential positive return and if the return is not “giving a candidate a disproportionate chance of winning, I don’t know why they’re throwing their money away.
- In case you missed it, the new Voter Screening law in Texas is going to court.
- Representative Allen West thinks Social Security is a form of slavery. He’s tried to salvage his reputation with his FLORIDA (Brought to you by Social Security!) district by clarifying that he meant “people who are permanently disabled and collect Social Security are slaves”…which isn’t any more logical.
